Ginko Biloba for Boosting your Memory PDF Print Write e-mail

Ginkgo Biloba has long been known as a natural memory booster. But this herbal remedy is also effective against dizziness, ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and the on again, off again leg pain called intermittent claudication. Each of these ailments can be caused by sluggish circulation.

How Ginkgo works: It helps lower abnormally high levels of platelet activating factor (PAF), a natural body compound that promotes blood clotting thus inhibiting circulation. Do not take Gingko with another blood thinner without your doctor's prior approval.

You should avoid ginkgo if you have a bleeding disorder.

Conclusion. Patients with ACRC seem to have fairly adequate cobalamin and folate status before and during chemotherapy treatment. This study indicates that ACRC patients receiving chemotherapy do not need supplementation with vitamin B12 and folate. A minor portion of the patients had folate deficiency, and most of those patients had severe toxicity. Patients with subclinically low cobalamin values had surprisingly better survival. Summary  5,10-Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) deficiency was diagnosed in a 1-month-old baby with signs of cerebral distress. Under a classic treatment using methionine supplementation, methyl donor (betaine) folinic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12, the neuromotor development was satisfactory. At 15 years of age, however, despite no clear modification of the biochemical markers in body fluids, she developed a clinically overt peripheral axonal neuropathy. Only partial clinical improvement was obtained after reinforcement of betaine doses. Surveillance of the peripheral nerve is indicated in MTHFR deficiency, including in the infantile form with a good therapeutic compliance. Conclusions: AD is almost exclusively autoimmune, with high autoimmune comorbidity. Both anti-21-hydroxylase antibodies and HLA class II can be clinically relevant predictors of AD. HRQoL is reduced, especially among diabetes patients, whereas thyroid disease did not have an impact on HRQoL. Treatment modalities that improve HRQoL are needed.
